Project Moshen Dance Company’s EXCERPTS to benefit Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation, Dec 3

In a heartwarming fusion of art and advocacy, Project Moshen Dance Company is set to dazzle audiences with their upcoming performance, “EXCERPTS,” all in the name of supporting ovarian cancer survivors and honoring those who have battled this relentless disease. This collaboration between Project Moshen and the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation promises to be an unforgettable evening of dance, community, and empowerment.

Project Moshen Dance Company, led by the talented Executive & Artistic Director Kelli Moshen, has always had a deep-rooted commitment to using dance as a means to inspire, educate, and empower women. And this holiday season, they are taking their mission to a whole new level by partnering with the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation.

“EXCERPTS,” a holiday production near and dear to Kelli Moshen’s heart, is dedicated to her late mother. The event kicks off with a warm welcome reception followed by captivating dance performances by Project Moshen. This annual tradition not only celebrates the spirit of the holiday season but also serves as a vital fundraiser for ovarian cancer research. General admission tickets for the event are priced at $35, with all proceeds being channeled towards the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation.

“EXCERPTS” promises an evening of artistic brilliance, featuring celebrated repertoire and never-before-seen works by Project Moshen. This year holds extra significance as they invite fellow dance companies, including the Jim Bunting Dance Company, Artist House Dance, and choreography by Melissa Rector from Koresh Dance Company, and the Koresh Youth Ensemble to join the celebration.

The event also commemorates the fifth anniversary of Jodi Moshen’s passing and the 23rd birthday of the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation. Local Philadelphia organizations and businesses have rallied behind this cause by sponsoring the welcome reception and performance.

The night will be hosted by the effervescent Gina Gannon from 6abc Action News, with appearances by the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation team and live music to keep the energy high. Guests can mingle before the performance, enjoy light bites and drinks, participate in raffles, and bid on items in a silent auction.

Every dollar raised during this spectacular event will be donated to the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation to support their mission of providing resources for ovarian cancer patients, assisting survivors, and, most importantly, working towards finding a cure for ovarian cancer.

Following the reception, “EXCERPTS” will premiere, treating the audience to a mesmerizing blend of new dance creations and beloved performances by Project Moshen. This extraordinary event aims to raise awareness and advocate for the eradication of ovarian cancer while empowering women and captivating audiences through the medium of dance.

Project Moshen Dance Company is more than just a dance troupe; it’s a force for change and empowerment. Dedicated to educating and inspiring women through the art of dance, Project Moshen uses their invigorating performances as a platform to foster discussions on topics such as female empowerment, mental health, and gender equality.

Beyond their performances, Project Moshen also extends its impact by providing high-quality dance education to local youth through partnerships with various youth organizations and non-profits. Their unwavering commitment to female empowerment is evident in every project they undertake, breaking barriers and inspiring women and girls from all walks of life through the power of dance.
