Nickerson-Rossi Dance presents Blue Prints, June 2-4

Nickerson-Rossi Dance (NRD) makes their debut as the first resident dance company of the newly restored Knauer Performing Arts Center located at 226 N High Street in West Chester, PA with the debut of Blueprints.  Performances will run June 2nd at 7pm, June 3rd at 2pm and 7pm, and June 4 at 2pm,

With the presentation of Blueprints, NRD explores the navigation of unknown territory, creating a sense of place, and learning to find the sacredness of one’s self and others along the way. Included on the program is Remembering the Unremembered, which Founder and Artistic Director, Michael Nickerson-Rossi views as the “backbone, heartbeat, and breath of NRD’s aesthetics”.

NRD is a touring, bi-coastal dance company with divisions located in Los Angeles, California and West Chester, Pennsylvania. NRD’s mission is to blend high art professionalism with the relational, emotional, educational, and healing impact they believe dance offers. In addition to their June performance, NRD is developing new programming initiatives as part of the Knauer residency that will include guest artists, master classes, workshops, dance festivals and outreach programs, titled uNdeRstanD.  East coast company members include Chad Allen Ortiz, Sarah Warren, Elise Mele, Kelly Trevlyn, Heather Conn, Christine Morano, Francis Markocki and Lorenzo Pagano.
