Outdoor, Socially Distanced Concert of Latin American Folkloric Music – Messiez / Diaz / Pinna
September 26 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
One event on September 26, 2020 at 6:30 pm
Series curated by composer / pianist Emiliano Messiez
Please join us for our first real-life, non-virtual event in over six months: an outdoor, seated, socially-distanced concert of Latin American Music at which masks are mandatory. We are unutterably thrilled to be working with the amazing Greensgrow Farms to produce this event. The concert will take place under cover, so it will go on rain or shine. Please be ready to deal with cold, mud, rain, whatever the weather throws at us.
Assuming that the first event proceeds as planned, we will offer a series of socially-distanced outdoor concerts. Emiliano Messiez will curate the series.
Emiliano Messiez, pianist and series curator
Fede Diaz, guitar
Franco Pinna, percussion
A mix of Chacareras, Zambas, Tangos, Valses, Milongas, Cuecas, Carnavalitos, Malambos, Chamamés and new compositions (by Messiez & Diaz).
The same trio played at the Fishtown Salon in December 2019: https://youtu.be/3n8c9trf2ao
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE MAY NEED TO CHANGE THE PLAN TO ONE SEATING DUE TO LOW REGISTRATION
The concert consists of one set of 45 minutes. Two seatings are available and ticketed separately.
Early Seating: 6:30 pm
Late seating: 8:30 pm
All payment and registration is in advance. No walk-ins will be allowed.
All registrants will be asked to sign an agreement to make sure we’re all on the same page about staying masked and socially distanced in order to create an event that is safe for everyone, and where everyone feels comfortable.
You may choose to sit alone, or in a sheltered-in-place duo, trio or quartet. Please do not register to sit with anyone you do not live with, as we want to prevent any new Covid exposures at the event.
Guest List & Volunteering
Since the number of guests is very limited due to City of Philadelphia regulations, there will be no guest list. The volunteer commitment is from 2 pm to midnight, as needed. Please fill out the volunteer form if interested in volunteering: https://bit.ly/2Rz4cYF
