11th Philadelphia Tango Festival

This years 11th Philadelphia Tango Festival is thematic. All activities are organized around the central theme of: IMPROVISATION in tango dance & music. As such, we are super-honored to welcome two couples who are among the best living tango improvisers: Octavio Fernandez & Corina Herrera and  Cecilia Garcia & Serkan Gokcesu

This festival also inaugurates a new tradition… From now on, the Philadelphia Tango Festival will always PRODUCE a new tango album of infectiously danceable tango music! Our goal is to foment the writing and recording of excellent music for social dancers. In 2023, we are producing the debut album of the Tipica Messiez . It will be recorded in Buenos Aires in February 2023 and made available for the first time at the festival.

The festival features LIVE MUSIC EVERY NIGHT, both seated concerts and extremely danceable music during milongas. Musicians include:Tipica Messiez Tango Orchestra, Juan Villarreal & Patricio Crom, Romo-Agri-Messiez Trio, Hugo Satorre & Leandro Roucco
