Adding A Class/Event

PLEASE BE SURE TO FOLLOW OUR FORMAT FOR POSTING YOUR EVENTS/CLASSES.
All listings are moderated/edited before going live for accuracy and to be sure fields are filled in correctly! If there is an issue with your event posting, you will be notified by email.

WHY DO WE INSIST ON OUR FORMAT?
We have SEO (search engine optimization) software and relationships with all major search engines as well as several area dance blogs. In order to maintain our ranking and to promote your event, it is important to follow our format as opposed to simply cutting and pasting from Facebook or your website.

PLEASE NOTE
This is a calendar listing! It is not a blog, advertising platform, place for your personal stories, fundraising campaigns or other notes to the community. It is a place to list your events or classes.

EVENT TITLE – the title should only reflect the name of the dance studio or instructor and name of the class; XYZ Studio – Adult Ballet Class with Sarah G. DO NOT PUT EVENT TITLES IN ALL CAPS. It will be rejected. DO NOT PUT A VARIETY OF PUNCTUATION MARKS IN THE TITLE  !!! () [] – these will cause your event not to show as they are often associated with program code.

EVENT DESCRIPTION – this should tell us about the class and the instructor. It can also be about requirements and any other criteria for participation. Do NOT put dates, times, links, payment information, or other references to other classes, fundraisers, or solicitations here.

EVENT DATE & TIME –
Start/End – put start date, start time, end time, end date  IMPORTANT – if you are running for multiple dates, start date and end date for this first entry MUST BE THE SAME.  The only case where they would be different is if for example your start time was 11pm on day 1 and ends at 1am on next day-day 2.

IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE DATES/TIMES for your classes –
1. Enter the date, start time and end time for the first date of your class only in the initial field.
