VI VA is the celebration of our culminating work as MFA candidates in Temple’s Esther Boyer Dance Department.  Two pieces will be presented, Study #2: Holy Cabinet and The Pathless Step, which explores the intricacies of our subtle energy, perception, and imagination.  Come experience performance art, dance, live music and original costume design created in response to our investigation of magic in the body.

(Phoenixville, Pa, February 14, 2012)Photographer Brian Mengini, is bringing his emotional series, empoweredME, to the Phoenix Village Arts Center, 209 Bridge St Phoenixville. This month long installation will kick off  on Friday March 2nd with a First Friday reception in the artist’s studio on the 2nd floor. The reception will include refreshments from Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a face painter, a free “empoweredME” photo sessions and an opportunity to meet the artist.  The event runs from 6-9 and is open to the public.

(Philadelphia, Feb 16, 2012) MM2 Modern Dance will premiere two new works from its upcoming 2012 season of Conversations on Saturday, March 3rd at 7:30pm as part of the Alchemy Dance Performance Fundraiser. Alchemy Dance holds workshops, classes and community outreach programs throughout the year. The annual fundraiser performance makes this possible. This year MM2 Modern Dance Company, InMotion Dance Company, Kristin Narcowich, Putty Dance Project and Jessica C. Warchal-King have all come together to support their efforts. The performance will also feature new and previous work by Alchemy Dance Company.
