Sara Earl is a dance/movement therapist specializing in supporting mental health and wellness through a body-based approach. She offers individual and group psychotherapy and open group dance/movement experiences for health and wellness. She is the founder of danceology, the monthly public, open improvisation experience in Philadelphia.
She has over twenty years of teaching experience, a deep history of dance training and ten years of performing. Her professional focus on facilitating creative expression and self-awareness through movement is reflected in Master’s level counseling degree and dance/movement therapy specialization. She has also practical experience and academic foundation in the symbolic, communicative and narrative application of imagery, movement, and technology.
Current artistic and academic inquiry includes improvisatory techniques, participatory performance, ethnochoreography, dance for sociocultural health, and dancer wellness.
