MADS (they/she) is a dance artist and writer located on Lenape Land in Philadelphia, PA, interested in biomimicry, efficiency, playwriting, music videos, the end of the world, and care. In 2020 MADS graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of the Arts under the direction of Donna Faye Burchfield, receiving a BFA in Dance. While at UArts, MADS performed in works by Bobbi Jene Smith, Mark Haim, Jesse Zaritt, John Jasperse, and others. In 2019, MADS was given the opportunity to travel to Paris to represent UArts at the Camping Festival at the Centre National de la Danse where they studied with Gerard and Kelly, and Liz Santoro. MADS' work has been shown at KYL/D's inHale Performance Series as well as at the University of the Arts. MADS continues to make and show work in Philadelphia in addition to their writing, administrative, and production work.
