Katie Moore is a dance artist and arts administrator. Previous experience include being a member of Philadanco's second company, Danco2 (D2). Katie graduated magna cum laude with her BFA in Dance and minor in business studies from Temple University in 2016. At Temple, Katie was a student in the honors college and elected as the Boyer College of Music and Dance representative for the student board of campus recreation. Katie is also the recipient of the Rose Vernick Scholar Award, the Boyer College Alumni Award, and was elected to Who's Who in American Universities and Colleges. In 2019, she was recruited to join the board of the Boyer College Alumni Association. She is currently a member of Emerging Arts Leaders:Philly and has served on grant panels for United Way, The Picasso Project and The Philadelphia Cultural Fund. As well, Katie is a graduate of the Arts + Business Council for Greater Philadelphia's CreativeXchange program. Additionally, she serves as the Communications Director of the Founding Board for the Pennsylvania Dance Education Organization (PaDEO), a state affiliate organization of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO). Katie lives in South Philadelphia and serves on the S. 7th St. Advisory Committee, managed by SEAMAAC, with the mission of creating a vibrant South 7th St. commercial corridor representing the strength and diversity of the community. As well, she is a member of the Percy St. Project, a community-based organization dedicated to bringing better infrastructure, visibility and programming to S. Percy St. (located behind KYL/D's dance center), through the power of art. In 2021, Katie was nominated to Chair one of Dance/USA’s Councils, representing Managers of Member Companies, and also serves as a Dance/USA Trustee. Katie became the Business Development Manager of Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers (KYL/D) in 2016 and was promoted to Business Director in August 2018.
