TRINE

Exploring the Mystical with Omenthrice Dance Company’s TRINE, March 15-17

Omenthrice Dance Company is set to enchant audiences with a spellbinding performance, “TRINE,” at the Decon PHL from March 15th to 17th. The evening promises to be a journey into the mystic, exploring the deep bonds of connection and energy shared between individuals.

Choreographed by Sydney Donovan and charged with the formidable energy of Aleesha Polite and Lindsey Swyers, “TRINE” is an exploration of what it means to be a coven, a tightly-knit group of individuals united by a shared purpose. This performance delves deep into the connection that exists between dancers, revealing a bond that transcends the physical realm.

“TRINE” is divided into two distinct sections, each with its own unique energy and focus. The first section, The Ritual, is a precise and focused choreography that honors the group’s movement agreement. Through this section, the dancers connect not only with each other but also with the spirits they carry within them, drawing on the wisdom of many lifetimes.

The second section, The Ceremony, provides the dancers with the freedom to explore their individual energy while being supported by the collective energy of the group. Here, they surrender to their higher selves and subconscious minds, shedding light on the shadows within. The movements and images in this section are channeled through spiritual practices and durational movement improvisation, creating a rich tapestry of movement and emotion.

“TRINE” draws inspiration from artists like Hilma Af Klint, Sara Teasdale, and Blondell Cummings, who believed in the unique ways the universe speaks to us and created art from that place. By inviting audiences to experience the love and light shared by the dancers, “TRINE” aims to create a space for emotional release and spiritual exploration.

This enchanting performance will take place at the Decon PHL, located at 1600 Christian Street, 2nd FL, Philadelphia, PA. Showtimes are as follows:

  • Friday, March 15th at 6 PM and 8 PM
  • Saturday, March 16th at 5 PM and 7 PM
  • Sunday, March 17th at 11:30 AM
