Friday, June 12 through Sunday, June 14 we invite you to the virtual premiere of Roni’s latest film collaboration: The Elephant Is In The Room. The short film features esteemed black dance artists Rennie Harris, Raphael Xavier and Zane Booker, for a thought-provoking work in response to the sustained and increasingly visible violence & systemic racism against black communities. To the poetry and voice of Karl Mullen, The Elephant Is In The Room is a visceral response to our troubled America, hate crimes, and our cry for change. The premiere will culminate in a round-table discussion inviting Artistic Director, Roni Koresh and collaborating artists, Raphael Xavier & Zane Booker, for a conversation centering topics related to the black American experience, racism and the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
