Labyrinth Dance Company honors memory of Trish Leach

by Steven Weisz for The Dance Journal

Labyrinth Dance Company hosted the TLES Arts Festival at the Community Education Center on Saturday, August 18, 2018, in order to raise funds for the Trish Leach Education Scholarship as well as to honor the memory of Trish Leach, whose lifelong dream of being a teacher was cut short by her battle with cancer.  The evening’s program featured original works by the five company members of Labyrinth – Jasmine Zook, Carlie Monzo, Erica Friel, Olivia Goodwin and Minna Tran.  This was interspersed with musical appearances by Ashley Elizabeth Davis (vocals) and Jim Leach (guitar).  Also featured on the bill were soloist Kaila Gambrell from Allegiance Dance Company and a tap/drumline piece by Janice’s Dance Works with Brianna Conran, Rylie Conran, Maria Grandizio, Abby Miller, Alli Scalessa and Sophie Severson.
