The May 2-4 performances mark Brandywine Ballet’s second staging of Beauty & the Beast after having premiered the work in the spring of 2012.  Beauty & the Beast features original choreography by Ballet Mistress and Resident Choreographer, Nancy Page. Ms. Page has masterfully adapted the traditional fairy tale for ballet, which emphasizes the importance of looking beyond appearances and finding inner beauty. Audiences will be treated to impressive ensemble dancing, as well as romantic pas de deux between principal dancers.

Caitlin Oeste will dance the role of Belle. Ms. Oeste is a longtime member of Brandywine Ballet, and West Chester University Certificate in Dance candidate. Special guest Zachary Kapeluck of Philadelphia’s BalletX will dance the role of the Beast. Jaime Lennon, also a longtime Brandywine Ballet member, as well as BalletX, will reprise her role as the Rose. Families and the romantic at heart are sure to be won over with Beauty & the Beast’s impeccable dancing, and timeless love story.
