Lawrence-Herchenroether Dance Company: Awakened Ruins

Yeah, so Kickstarter is ultimately all about asking for cash, but it also gets artists to make some nice preview videos of their work. Case in point: the vid for the 2011 Philly Fringe dance Awakened Ruins, developed as a site-specific work for Girard College‘s Founder’s Hall in North Philadelphia. The Lawrence-Herchenroether Dance Company will also perform excerpts from the piece at New Hampshire’s Cultivate later this month.

Awakened Ruins runs September 10, 11, and 17 at Founder’s Hall at Girard College, 2101 S. College Avenue (at Girard and Corinthian), Philadelphia. Times vary, $20. For tickets, click here.
