Art works and performances by New Freedom Theatre Students
Exploring the relationship between sound and image, Visual Music – Art Out Loud and In Motion features
a collaboration between The Galleries at Moore College of Art & Design, Moore’s Art Education Department and New Freedom Theatre, a leading regional theatre and the oldest African American  theatre and performing arts school in Philadelphia dedicated to achieving artistic excellence in professional  theatre and performing arts training for the enrichment of the community.

The students’ performance and art works are inspired by the work of Moe Brooker, a nationally recognized African-American artist and Department Chair of Basics at Moore, whose work is inspired by jazz and gospel music.

Community CoLAB is made possible through the generous support of the Barra Foundation.
Special thanks to Moore’s Fashion Design Department for donating materials used for costumes.
