Alissa started her dance training at The Dance Center in West Chester, PA where she was trained in ballet, modern, jazz and hip hop. In 2007, she began performing with the Brandywine Ballet. She graduated from Cedar Crest College in May 2016 with a B.A. in Dance and a B.A. in Media Studies. She has performed with the Ballet Guild of the Lehigh Valley, and received scholarships for dance to Cedar Crest College, The University of the Arts and the Burklyn Ballet Summer Intensive. She also attended summer programs at Brandywine Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School and American Ballet Theatre. She has worked with the Lehigh Valley Dancers and Monarch Dance Company. Alissa has performed at the Ailey Citigroup Theatre, Lincoln Memorial, The Painted Bride, The Ice House and many more notable locations. She is currently dancing, teaching, and choreographing throughout the Philadelphia region.

Based in Afro-Contemporary modern dance aesthetics, with elements of Jazz, African, and Ballet movement styles
Beyond Dance Company (March 2016-December 2016)
Beyond Dance Co is a Philadelphia dance company whose vision is to promote unity and encourage excellence through the art and expression of dance. We believe it is necessary to go beyond expectations in order to strengthen and unify one another as to bring out the most positive and beneficial result, so that success is the only outcome. Our mission is to spread this sense of empowerment not only to our members but to our community as well. BDC thrives on its diversity not only in its members but also in style, as we showcase multiple dance styles twice a year in our annual winter and spring performances, including modern, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, and more. BDC has presented work at various performance showcases in the Philadelphia region, such as the 2015 Koresh Artist Showcase, the 2015 and 2016 IDA Blackbox Showcase, Project Moshen’s Artistry Unfolded (2016), and the 2015 and 2016 ETC Performance Series. Beyond Dance Co. is launching a Dance Diversity Tour at major cities throughout the US, first one starting on April 16, 2016 in Philadelphia. Our next company production is June 25, 2016 titled “The Evolution of Women”.
