Full Time Job Temple University Department of Dance – Associate Director of Dance Production
The Associate Director of Dance Production is responsible for overseeing design, technical, and operations for all dance productions which includes providing professional lighting, sound, stage, video operations and costumes (as needed). The Associate Director is responsible for managing all aspects of dance production budget, ticket revenue with CPCA box office and production expenses, which includes guest artists and the associated expenses, promotion materials (print, photography, videography), Conwell Theater facility needs, Temple security needs, oversees student worker assignment and training, equipment maintenance, and manage the General Activities Fund (GAF) and associated reports/presentations. Manages the use, scheduling and maintenance of the dance performance facilities. Serves as part of the CPCA production team. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and three years directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills and Abilities:
*Demonstrated knowledge and experience of sound, lighting, video and computer equipment that relates directly to theatrical/dance productions.
*Demonstrated professional experience as theatrical lighting designer with significant experience in designing lighting for dance.
*Collaborative, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse population.
*Excellent organizational skills, with significant experience in stage-managing dance concerts.
*Demonstrated strong supervisory skills, specifically supervising students.
*Ability to work a flexible work schedule that includes evening and weekend hours.
*MFA in Dance with significant experience in lighting design and technical theater
