In Philadelphia Dance Theatre’s Pre Ballet classes, a love of music and movement is encouraged through games and guided imaginary play. Exercises focused on gross motor skills, balance, coordination, rhythm, and finding joy in movement are at work. As young dancers progress through to Pre-Ballet 3, beginning ballet steps and French terminology are introduced, however, creativity and exploration are still emphasized. Each class is offered in-person and virtually.
