Moving Mindfulness
Want to feel more comfortable in your own body? Want to learn about mindfulness/meditation and move with others in community? Come to Moving Mindfulness! Together, we will learn how to be more present in our own bodies through practicing different meditation techniques and playing movement games together.
We will take a look at how meditation and movement relate to each other, how we can become more comfortable in our bodies and minds, and see how these tools can heal or benefit our own communities. We will practice how to observe without blame or praise, and then make creative choices based on this clear seeing. This will all be with the aim of eliminating suffering in our own lives and the lives of others. We will practice resting, laughing, and getting our heart rate up with ecstatic, joyful movement.
Bring a water bottle, a mask, and clothes to move in. All ages welcome: people under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. No experience necessary.
