International Ballet Exchange Nutcracker Workshops
November 29 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Sunday, repeating until December 20, 2020
Do you miss The Nutcracker?
So do we! In fact, we miss it so much that we decided to make our own Nutcracker and perform virtually for family and friends!
International Ballet Exchange’s Virtual Nutcracker Workshop!
14 sessions via ZOOM, including viewing party
Sundays 10am–1pm Eastern Time, via Zoom with two additional sessions to be scheduled.
All ages 6 and up (including adults) are welcome, as are all levels. You will dance to the beloved music of Tchaikovsky and learn new choreography with teachers Christina Castro-Tauser, Michele-Olivia François, and Coralie François as we create excerpts from The Nutcracker just for you, the workshop participants.
No auditions or audition fees! No tickets or tickets to sell! The focus will be on fun and creativity as together we make a unique Nutcracker to share with our friends and family and celebrate our love of ballet.
We need a minimum of 10 participants, so please share this invitation with friends and family who might want to join.
All sessions will be held via Zoom with optional studio time for local participants at Wissahickon Dance Academy for recording. The 10am–1pm workshop period will be divided into time slots for groups of participants by dance/scene, with periodic full-group information meetings.
On October 4, all participants (adults and the adults caring for minors) will meet together at 10am via Zoom for a short orientation. (Note that adults and minors will meet in separate sessions throughout the workshop.)
Participation by registration only by September 28th. (Registrants will receive a follow-up email regarding payment information and waiver.) The balance of payment will then be due by October 4th.
About the workshop leaders:

Graduates of Drexel University, they dance, teach, choreograph, and perform locally.

With a BA from Point Park University and MFA from Temple University, she has choreographed numerous full-length ballets, often blending students and professionals. A teaching artist for Taller Puertorriqueño, she teaches at WDA and is the executive director of IBE.
