Intermediate Lindy Hop: 6-weeks of Partner Charleston with Ragtag Empire at Urban Movement Arts
October 13 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 5:30 pm on Sunday, repeating until November 17, 2019
Ragtag Instructors Mary and Nick bring you the need to know skills and drills to keep advancing your dancing in this series focuses on PARTNER CHARLESTON!
The Charleston is a dance that was popularized in the 1920s and continued to evolve through the 1930s and 1940s. It is athletic and peppy and typically danced to fast music. It is a tool that any intermediate or advanced dancer should have in their back pocket to be able to enjoy dances to different tempos and styles of music. If you tend to sit out the slow songs, this series is for you! We recommend you to have taken a beginner course as well as have had some experience dancing out on social dance floor before taking Intermediate.
Ragtag encourages new dancers to choose to learn either leading or following (regardless of gender). No partner necessary for class; all our classes rotate partners throughout the class. This class series includes 6 weeks of instruction with lots of individual attention, and a pizza party practice on last day of class!
