Beginner Ballet with Lara Tant
February 25 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:30pm on Monday, repeating until January 1, 2020
Lara’s training is in the Vaganova method and she utilizes these fundamental building blocks of Classical Ballet to formulate her classes. At the same time, her aim is to find a balance between the rules and creating a safe, inviting space for movers of all levels to join together and enjoy the presentation of ballet as a performing art. Her goal is to make ballet not only accessible but a fun mode of expression in a welcoming environment.
This class is designed for novice dancers or students who have not danced for many years. We will continue to emphasize proper posture, muscle development, flexibility, musicality, and grace of movement through beginner level combinations. Students are expected to know basic dance vocabulary and have a desire to improve their strength and technique.
