Power Play: Making process in performance

August 28 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

Join S.S. and Company for an informal conversation and community event @theironfactory in Philadelphia.

We will be working in residency for the last week of August, continuing our research into what power in community means to different communities, and the many different ways power in community can look.

For the past four years artistic director Eiren Shuman has been having conversations with different communities in New York City, centered around themes of power in community and what those words mean to different people. These conversations are then transcribed into monologues and used as choreographic research as well as performance material.

We hope that you will join us to hear and see some of the stories we have already collected, while also adding your own voice to the conversation.

We are striving to be story tellers of our own journey while also being conduits for all the stories that surround us. And we hope your story will be among them.
