‘it’s better when you close your eyes’
A theatrical meditation on grief, depression, identity crisis, nostalgia, isolation in a pandemic and civil rights movement, fear and love. Through movement, theater and connection, the artists build their way through waves of emotion, heartache and pain in search of joy and human connection. Something that may be there all along, but harder to find that we think.
BigKid Dance strives to make work that is imaginative yet relatable, to bring people together and further understand each other. To further understand ourselves. BigKid Dance is a platform for self expression, community and love. As we grow, we continue to nurture our inner child.
Dance Artists: Chip Alexandria, kira shiina, Mikey Morado, Emma Olivier, Roderick Phifer, Eduardo Jimenez Cabrera
Choreographer: Mark Caserta, in collaboration with the Dance Artists
This show is presented as part of Cannonball Festival
