On Saturday, April 7th and Sunday, April 8th, both nights at 8:00pm, the ETC Performance Series will present Bodyfields Performance Collective, Robin Prichard, Lauren Williams, Craig Scull, Madhusmita Bora, Courtney Lapresi, Persona Zenobia Dance Ensemble, Fusion Dance Company, Eisa Jackson, Kareem Mims, Tamara Carrasco and Illstyle & Peace Productions. Performances will be held at the Community Education Center’s Meetinghouse Theater, 3500 Lancaster Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. Tickets are $10 general admission and $8 for seniors, students and dance professionals with ID.

Indigenous Pitch Dance Collective (IPDC) will be presenting six evenings of Dance/Theater entitled Reflexions. Works presented are indicative of the outreach IPDC has done in Haiti, North Philly and New Orleans with children traumatized by natural and/or sociology-economic disasters. The program will feature new work from Stephen Welsh/Swerve, Charles Tyson’s Underground Danceworks, the Monster Squad and several independent choreographers.

The Schuylkill Valley Regional Dance Company will be showcasing its diversity in the original work, “Jazzerella”, written and directed by Artistic Director Michelle Jones Wurtz; taking place at the Hill School Center for the Arts on April 21st at 7:30pm as well as on April 22nd at 2pm. The show is fun for the entire family with choreography that includes ballet from former Kirov Principals Andrei Ustinov and Elena Martinson, tap, jazz, modern dance, Irish Dance, African Dance, and some Latin moments from International Dance Artist, Ms. Wurtz; and the expertise of Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet trained instructor, Diane Alex-Brody.
VI VA is the celebration of our culminating work as MFA candidates in Temple’s Esther Boyer Dance Department. Two pieces will be presented, Study #2: Holy Cabinet and The Pathless Step, which explores the intricacies of our subtle energy, perception, and imagination. Come experience performance art, dance, live music and original costume design created in response to our investigation of magic in the body.
