Dalcroze Philadelphia will host our final, workshop of this school year on:

We welcome instructor Michael Joviala who will guide us in rigorous,
playful music and movement rhythmic activities which lead into free
improvisation. Bring your body, your voice and your instrument of choice!



 *Michael Joviala* is a pianist, clarinettist, composer and teacher in New
York City. Michael holds a Dalcroze license (Longy School of Music)   a
D.M.A (Stony Brook University) and is a candidate for the *Diplôme
Supèrieur* at the *Institut Jaques-Dalcroze* in Geneva, Switzerland. .



Michael is on the faculties of Columbia University, Lucy Moses School at
Kaufman Music Center, The Diller-Quaile School, American Musical and
Dramatic Academy in New York City. He is the chair of the Board of Trustees
of the Dalcroze Society of America, and currently leads the group *Loco
Motors*, an ensemble specializing in techniques derived from the practice
of both Dalcroze and free improvisation.



The workshop is open to - musicians, dancers, educators, arts therapists
and, anyone interested in exploring the music-movement relationship.
