Curt Haworth’s Unsafe and Intimate Spaces, Feb. 3 & 4

Curt Haworth Movement and Performance presents Unsafe and Intimate Places on February 3rd & 4th 2017 at 8pm at the Mascher Space Co-op, 155 Cecil B. Moore Ave in Philadelphia.  Set in today’s Philadelphia, Unsafe and Intimate Spaces, borrows text from Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, a fantastical story of the mythic cities of this world. Darting, falling, leaping and disintegrating, the movement leads a poetic tale of four dancers daily experience traversing the public and private spaces of their lives. It is  a nonlinear musing opening emotions of moments, rather than life narratives.

The music, a haunting collage of loops and live music propels the work forward. Choreographed and directed by Curt Haworth in collaboration with the performers, Unsafe and Intimate Spaces text by Italo Calvino, Gaston Bachelard, Christina Gesualdi, Zach Svoboda and Curt Haworth music created and performed by Tim Motzer and with performers Leanne Grieger, Christina Gesualdi, Zach Svoboda and Brionna Williams.
