A first time collaboration by choreographers Lesya Popil and Eleanor Goudie-Averill at the Philly Fringe

For Members Only, to be presented at the 2012 Philly Fringe Festival on September 22nd & 23rd, will offer audiences a first time collaboration by choreographers Lesya Popil and Eleanor Goudie-Averill, along with visual artist, papermaker and sculptor, Nicole Donnelly. Featured will be dancers Lindsay Browning and Hedy Wyland. All three artists explore ideas of membership, public and private space, disappearance and emergence, truncated views, and segmented bodies.
Witnessing the performance that comes out of these explorations, members of the audience will gain access to restricted and expanded views, dismemberment and inclusive reduction. Intimate memories will be made manifest in a stunning visual environment.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Eleanor Goudie-Averill, a 2007 MFA Dance Performance graduate of the University of Iowa, currently dances for MacArthur Dance Project and Group Motion Dance Company, directs the Stone Depot Dance Lab and teaches Modern technique at Temple University.
Lesya Popil, a 2012 MFA Dance Performance graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, dances for Group Motion Dance Company and White Box Theater.
Nicole Donnelly is a Philadelphia-based painter, printmaker, hand papermaker, installation artist, and shadow puppet enthusiast. She received her MFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Iowa in 2009 and her BA in Visual Arts from Bennington College in 2002. Donnelly divides her time between the studio and her job as a curator, often finding time for regular collaborations with Philadelphia poets and choreographer Eleanor Goudie-Averill/Stone Depot Dance Lab.
