Olive Prince Dance at the nEW Festival
May 21st, 2009 | By Dance Journal Staff | Category: News Briefs
What do you present to the OUTside world? Who do you appear to be? What happens if I turn you inside/OUT? Smile, it will all be okay.
Olive Prince Dance (ODP) premieres OUT, a dynamic dance montage that combines contemporary physicality with pedestrian realities, blending the lines between reality and make-believe and OUTward appearances and inside realities. Olive Prince Dance works to develop movement metaphors that open the body to new physical patterning while designing choreographic structure.
OUT is a look into normality in contrast to the unspoken, unrelenting chatter of the brain and our undisclosed fantasies.
The performance will feature Marie Brown, Lindsay Browning, Olive Prince, Sara Stone-Bush, and Hedy Wyland.
